Satya Manz is a passionate and talented painter hailing from Austin, Texas. From a young age, Satya developed a deep appreciation for art, often creating doodles and sketches. However, it was during his early twenties that his artistic journey truly began to take shape.

Career Beginnings:

Satya started his career at a prestigious high-class restaurant and boutique hotel in his hometown, the Mansion at Judges Hill, now known as Hotel Ella. While working there, he found solace in art as a means to alleviate the stressors that came with the job. At the end of each service, Satya managed to save cream-colored, thick paper that would have otherwise been discarded. This paper became the canvas for his nightly drawings, and thus, his passion for painting took root.

Artistic Progression:

Satya's dedication to his craft led him to experiment with different tools and mediums. He transitioned from simple Bic pens to Sharpies and eventually found his way to acrylics on larger paper. As he honed his skills, he began to teach himself how to frame artwork and utilize canvases effectively.

Live Painting and Performance Art:

One significant milestone in Satya's artistic journey was when he embraced the world of live painting. Using music as his guide, he utilized an overhead camera and his unique ambidextrous gift to create captivating art in real-time. Through the streaming platform Periscope, he streamed over 500 live painting sessions. Sadly, most of these videos were lost due to bankruptcy, but it did not deter Satya's passion for the craft.

Drawing Inspiration From the Environment:

Satya's creativity thrives in an interactive setting, and he often engages in performance art. For these performances, he brings an easel, sandbags to secure it in place, paints, dowel rods (usually 2-3 feet in length, offering a visually engaging element), and tarps. His live painting sessions have graced venues such as Kick Butt Coffee, Spiderhouse, and The Parlor, where he delights audiences with his artistry in action.

Art Collection and Framing:

Over the years, Satya has amassed an impressive collection of artwork. He takes pride in framing his creations, making them more accessible for art enthusiasts to appreciate and cherish.
